Hundreds were in attendance to witness the annual spawning of kokanee salmon during the third annual Redfish Festival on Sunday.
Families gathered along the creek bank as the crimson-hued fish battled the current.
The event, presented by theĀ West Kootenay EcoSociety, took place from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. and featured nature walks, live music, face painting, bubbles and dancing.
