A motorist escaped with only minor injuries following a serious crash on the outskirts of Ladysmith on Saturday morning.
The vehicle was westbound on Brenton Page Road at around 7 a.m. when “it veered across the centre line and down an embankment, striking a tree and land on its roof,” said Cpl Bob Purslow of the Ladysmith RCMP detachment.
Originally the call came in that a car had gone off a bridge but there are none in that area of Brenton Page Road.
North Oyster Fire department, BC Ambulance and RCMP all attended the scene.
The lone occupant, a male driver, was taken to hospital with only minor injuries.
The incident is still under investigation by Ladysmith RCMP.
