Lake Country is the place to be for children and the young at heart.
The second annual Indoor Children’s Festival, presented by TD Bank, is being held at the Lake Country Community Complex Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Families from Lake Country and neighbouring Kelowna and Vernon had a great time at the event last year and we’ve expanded the event for 2017,” said Ryan Donn, cultural development co-ordinator.
The festival features more than 40 children’s activities, including multi-cultural events, the Telus PureFibre Science Zone, face painting, caricatures, the London Drugs Canada150 booth, Bouncy Castle City, live entertainment and games.
The Lake Country firefighters are providing a combat challenge, the Lake Country Museum is doing a historical photo booth and there will be a teen vocal competition in the Creekside Theatre.
Admission to the Children’s Festival is by donation with all donations going towards sustaining the event.
