It’s the sale real estate agents dream about.
A four-bedroom Lake Country home has sold for $7.5 million — the largest transaction ever for a single-family residence in the North Okanagan.
“They are out-of-town buyers who spend their summers in the Okanagan,” said David Pusey, an agent with Century 21 Executives Realty in Vernon.
“They are attracted to the beauty of the property but they also considered it to be of good value.”
This is the third largest residential sale ever in the entire Okanagan Valley.
The 4,500-square-foot home sits on eight acres, with a peach orchard on part of it.
The biggest selling card is 1,400 feet of frontage along Okanagan Lake in the Carr’s Landing area.
“It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of property I have ever seen,” said Pusey.
“The property is immaculate. It’s like a park.”
The property — owned by the seller’s family for years — had only been listed for a short time. Others had looked at it besides the new owner.
“There are buyers for these kinds of properties,” said Pusey.
“It’s challenging to find exceptional lakefront land.”
