Re: ‘Never for the working person.’
A the letter writer states, Tom Fletcher is being petty regarding union worker’s lavish dining. He compares private enterprise to public service.
Corporate leaders generate innovation, wealth and employment. Their “salaries, benefits and other perks” are the result of someone’s entrepreneurship.
They are accordingly recompensed for their individual initiative in providing “salaries, benefits and other perks.”
The unions rely on taxpayer dollars and the recent NDP edict of forcing workers to be unionized to work will cost taxpayers big time, is autocratic and dictatorial.
It is expected of an NDP government and is no surprise.
Also, municipal councillors should not be allowed to set salaries and perks.
