Web Kimmerly and Scott Wilson work on one of the town’s sewage lift station, located by the South Shore Road traffic bridge. This component, in Central Park, hooks up to an already-installed component on the other side of the road. The lift station is being brought above the 200 year flood plain, which is roughly at the underside of the bridge. During the town’s Tuesday, May 3, committee meetings, superintendent of Public Works Nagi Rizk said that the lift station is behind schedule, but that the $153,466 government grant they’ve received is still theirs. Different beautification options, such as painting, will be looked into in order to make the lift station less of an eyesore.
