The fourth annual Live to Give event at Yale Secondary saw students stay overnight at the school for a good cause on Friday.

The first global initiative fundraiser, then called Dare to Care, raised money in support of water sanitation projects in Kenya through Canadian charity Free the Children. The monies raised this year go toward fostering Alternative Income projects in Ecuador.

In 2014, students raised almost $16,000 to support health care in India through Free the Children.

The all-night event is organized by the schools leadership students and features a variety of activities to keep the participants entertained. Approximately 266 students participated in this year’s event.

Each student raises funds to gain entry to the event, which are later presented to charity.
