A dozen concerned Surrey parents are packing up and taking the fight over school fund to Victoria today.
Cindy Dalglish, and several people from the South Newton Community Association are boarding a ferry Wednesday morning to meet with several NDP MLAs and hopefully the minister of education.
Their bone of contention is the lack of school spaces in Surrey.
Dalglish said she is working on getting an audience with Education Minister Mike Bernier during the day-long visit.
Bernier, who was in Surrey Friday, was asked by The Leader whether he would meet with them.
While he said he wasn’t sure who they were, he said he’d be happy to meet with anyone on the issue.
Surrey schools are overcrowded and Dalglish hopes to change that by securing new school construction.
