A new principal is at the helm in Naramata, following the retirement of a long-time South Okanagan teacher and principal.
Jan Ramsay will be retiring from her position as Principal of Naramata Elementary School, effective July 31. She has been with School District 67 since 1999, her first appointment as a teacher at Parkway Elementary School. In 2001 she was appointed vice principal, and eventually vice principal at Carmi Elementary. Before her appointment in Naramata, she served as principal of the District Home Leaners’ Columbia Elementary.

“The Board of Education thanks Ms. Ramsay for her service and wishes her all the best in her future endeavours,” said the district in a release May 28.
Taking the helm is Jeff Redden, who will start as principal of Naramata Elementary School in August. He is currently the principal at Wiltse Elementary School.
“We congratulate Jeff on his new appointment,” said the district.
