LSIB to vote for new chief, one councillor

Members of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band will vote for chief and one councillor next week.

An election is being held to determine the band’s chief for the next four years and who will join the rest of council for the next four years.

Incumbent Chief Keith Crow is running against Robert Edward.

Those that have tossed their hat in the ring for a four year-term for councillor are Kenny Richter, Eliza Terbasket, Lauren Terbasket and Terry Terbasket.

The advanced poll is Sat., Nov. 4 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the LSIB Traditional Healing Room.

Voting day is Mon., Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. also in the LSIB Traditional Healing Room.
