The public is invited to the 15th anniversary annual general meeting of LUSH (Let Us Share the Harvest) Valley Food Action Society on Wednesday, May 27 at the Evergreen Lounge of the Florence Filberg Centre.
Doors open for networking and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m.
The AGM will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by guest speaker, Graham Riches, emeritus professor and former director of the School of Social Work at UBC and co-editor of First World Hunger Revisited.
Mr. Riches’ talk, entitled, Hungry Canadians and the right to food: what’s to be done? will outline how the ‘right to food’ can lead to food security for all.
