The Fort St. James-Mackenzie Connector (Philip Forest Service Road) will be closed to all traffic during spring 2011.
The expected closure date is late March to late June with the possibility of restrictions into late August 2011, depending on construction activity.
The closure is required to prevent damage to the road during breakup and while the road is under construction.
The closure will be in place until notice is given it is rescinded.
The closure applies to the area between the junction of the Finlay and Philip Forest Service Roads and the junction of the Connector with the Rainbow Forest Service Road near Mt. Milligan Mine.
There will be signs and barricades in place during the closure, and these may be places at different locations to allow access to parts of the road, as construction permits.
Some light traffic may by permitted, but expect delays until August 2011.
