An earlier crash on the Malahat is cleared, but over 200 BC Hydro customers remain without power.
Around 2:30 p.m. a truck was seen driving off of the road and over the guard rail on the northbound side of the highway between Aspen and Wellswood Road. The truck struck a utility poll , causing outages for over 260 homes in the area.
According to Drive BC, crews may return to the scene for hydro repairs.
It remains unclear if there were any injuries.
