Male dies from injuries sustained in ATV collision.

A 24 year-old man has died from injuries sustained in an ATV incident near Golden.

On May 17, just after 12:30 am (MST), the Golden-Field RCMP was advised of a single vehicle collision involving an all-terrain vehicle on the Bush River Forest Service Road near Kinbasket Lake, west of Golden, BC.

Officers attended and were met by a group of passerbys who had already began transporting a male ATV passenger back to Golden.

The victim, a 24 year-old, originally from Ontario, was then transferred to BC Ambulance and transported to hospital. The man later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the ATV was not injured.

We are continuing to investigate the incident to determine what occurred. At this time, I can confirm that the ATV went off the road and down an embankment.

As the matter is still under investigation, no further updates are available at this time.
