Man, 19, dies following motorcycle crash in Abbotsford

Single-vehicle crash took place Saturday on Gladwin Road between Harris and Townshipline

A 19-year-old man died in hospital over the weekend after crashing his motorcycle on Saturday afternoon in Abbotsford.

The crash took place just after 2 p.m. in the 5400 block of Gladwin Road, between Harris and Townshipline roads.

Police say the rider was severely injured and taken to hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released.

“We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased man,” said Sgt. Judy Bird.

The exact circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, and police continue to gather evidence.
