Man arrested for parking garage break-ins

A man allegedly connected to break and enter incidents at an underground parking garage on Calgary Avenue has been charged.

On Feb. 23 the Penticton RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit located a male riding a bicycle with a backpack in the 600 block of Winnipeg Street. The male was identified earlier in the day as the suspect in thefts from a parking garage on Calgary Avenue.

The man was arrested and police discovered the bike he was riding had been stolen on Feb. 14.

Dustin Alan Wilson is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts ofpossession of stolen property, one count of posessing break-in instruments and two counts of posessing a controlled substance (methamphetamine and marijuana).

Wilson appeared in court on Feb. 24 where an adjournment was made until March 1 when he is scheduled for a bail hearing.
