100 Mile House RCMP gets area man following rash of B&Es

On March 7, 100 Mile House RCMP were called by a concerned citizen to a break-and-enter in progress to a business located on Birch Avenue.

Upon police arrival, a male, who was believed to be involved in the break-in, was located in the vicinity of the business.

A 43-year-old 100 Mile House man was arrested without incident. Subsequently, police were notified of six additional break-and-enters to other businesses that had occurred in the same time frame on Birch Avenue and Alder Avenue.

Further investigation linked the male suspect to the break-and-enters. He was held in custody and remanded to Williams Lake where he appeared on March 9. The RCMP has proposed seven charges of break-and-enter and mischief to Crown counsel.
