A man charged with trafficking heroin laced with fentanyl, and other drugs in Vernon appeared in Revelstoke court on Wednesday.
Kelly Mitchell Hanson Loeppky faces three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well charges as driving while prohibited and a number of charges related to breach of condition.
The information filed in court alleges that on Feb. 12, 2016, Loeppky was arrested in Vernon and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin.
On March 7, 2017, a new information document was filed alleging the heroin was mixed with fentanyl and methylfentanyl.
The case has been making its way through the Vernon courts for more than a year and was recently waived to Revelstoke, where it will be dealt with.
Chris Johnson, Loeppky’s lawyer, asked for the matter to be adjourned for sentencing in June, though no plea has been entered yet.
