Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 17 calls for service from January 15, 8 a.m. till January 16, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there have been four people lodged in Terrace Cells – one of these persons was lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
An intoxicated man at the Coast Cold Beer and Wine Store requested police attend and arrest him. Police arrested the 46-year-old man for public intoxication.
Elsewhere Terrace
A black leather wallet containing various cards, ID, and cash was lost between Tim Horton’s and the Fire Hall.

A man chasing a woman and kicking a bus stop sign on Haugland Ave. in front of Mills Memorial Hospital. Checks were done of the area. A second call was received. Checks were done of the area.
A Blue Heeler dog bit an eight-year-old girl on the leg when she was walking to school on Munroe.
Intoxicated man bothering people on Park Ave. Checks were done of the area.
A smaller silver truck and a blue truck circling an area on Lazelle Ave. Checks were done of the area.
Two men swung sticks at another man walking along a path behind the hospital. The man was uninjured and the two men ran away. Checks were done of the area. Further details were unable to be obtained.
Man taking pictures in the middle of the night on Park Ave. He worked for a company in town and was taking pictures of their property. Advice was given on the matter.
Attempted break and enter to units on Haugland Ave. The thief was a man, 20 to 30 years of age, 6 ft tall, wearing a blue ski mask or bandanna across his mouth, black jacket/hoodie with a white or reflective stripe on the back of it, black baggy track pants, black gum boots, and on a bike. Checks were done of the area and people were spoken with.
Thornhill
Man passed out behind the wheel of a beige Nissan car on River Dr.
The wheels and rims were stolen from a grey 2013 Dodge Ram parked in a business parking lot on Hwy 16 East.
Suicidal 19-year-old man had not come down Terrace Mountain. Police Dog Rook tracked the man up the hill, down the hill, and back into town. The man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act at a residence and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital to be assessed.
Possible impaired in a blue 2010 Ford F150 truck swerving all over the road on Hwy 16 East. Police located the vehicle parked at the Northern Motor Inn. The 70-year-old driver was experiencing a medical issue and had parked the vehicle to be picked up by a family member.
Rural
Overdue traveller. He made contact shortly after the call and was safe.
A blue 1996 Ford F250 was pulled over on Hwy 16 East, west of Kitwanga. The 57-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Kitsumkalum
Erratic driver in a delivery truck on Ecstall Ave. A confrontation led to the delivery truck driver following the man home where more words were exchanged. Police spoke with the people involved.
