Man pepper-sprayed and arrested near railroad tracks in Abbotsford

Police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon in Abbotsford. He was reportedly pepper-sprayed before being taken into custody.

Police and fire crews called to incident at Marshall and Riverside

Police and fire crews were on scene of an incident on the train tracks at Riverside and Marshall roads in Abbotsford.

A man was in custody and was reportedly pepper-sprayed by police sometime before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The exact circumstances of the incident are not known. A CP Police spokesman would only say that police arrested a trespasser on railroad property.

Members of the CP Police Service, the Abbotsford Police Department and Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service were all on scene.
