Man stabbed overnight near Burnaby’s Metrotown mall

A 43-year-old man is expected to make a full recovery after he was stabbed outside a Burnaby mall in the early hours of Tuesday morning (March 26).

Burnaby RCMP say its officers were called to the 4500-block of Central Boulevard, near the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping mall, at 2 a.m. for the reported attack. When they arrived, they found a 43-year-old man suffering from wounds. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police and police dogs searched the area for the alleged assailant and arrested a 29-year-old man later Tuesday morning.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
