Nanaimo RCMP are sharing information about a man who is ununlawfully at large after he failed to return to the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam.
Coquitlam RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find Ajia Richardson, 36, who was reported missing May 20 at 7:00 p.m., according to a press release issued by Coquitlam RCMP.
Nanaimo RCMP have confirmed that Richardson lived in Nanaimo and has extended family on the Island, but do not know if he has returned to the area.
Richardson is First Nations, with short brown hair and brown eyes, and is 6-foot-2, 194 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, white sneakers, beige pants and a white T-shirt.
Police caution that Richardson may behave in a way that presents a risk to himself or the public. Anyone who sees him should not approach him, but call 911 immediately.
