The investigation into the discovery of a man’s body in Kalamalka Lake Saturday morning has been turned over to the coroner.
Just before noon, Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP were called to Rattlesnake Point for a report of a body located in the water.
“Vernon RCMP, B.C. Ambulance Services, and the B.C. Coroner’s Service attended,” said Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
“A 67-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Noseworthy said it does not appear the death is suspicious in nature, and the coroner has taken over the file.
The man’s name is not being released at this time.
