Margaret Trudeau is coming to Surrey next month to host an event honouring women in business.
On Thursday, March 9, the Surrey Board of Trade will hold its eighth annual Surrey Women in Business Awards Luncheon.
The event recognizes the huge community contributions of women in the business community.
Trudeau, mother of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is the keynote speaker for the event.
Also the former wife of former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, she has become an icon in Canada, and is well-respected for her work as a mental-health advocate.
She tirelessly shares her personal stories to remind others of the importance of nurturing the body, mind, and spirit. She is also the proud mother to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The Surrey Board of Trade has also released the names of the finalists in the Women in Business Awards.
