The City of Penticton now expects members of the public entering all municipal facilities to wear a non-medical mask.

The city announced the new policy in a news release issued today (Nov. 19).

“We continue to do our part to follow the most recent advice from our Provincial Health Officer by introducing measures that prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said the Penticton’s occupational health and safety representative, Daniel York. “Today’s announcement follows other effective controls the city has previously introduced to ensure visitor and staff safety, including installing physical barriers, hand sanitizing stations and occupancy limits.”

Municipal facilities include city hall, bylaw offices, McLaren Arena, the fire hall, the police station, city yards, the library and museum, and community centre.
