The BC Coroners Service has determined that a deceased person located in the area of Five Mile Creek on Aug. 23 was a male in his 40s.
Police confirmed the deceased as Brent Mickelson who was reported missing on May 13. The Nelson Police Department said in a news release today that the death is not considered to be suspicious.
The news release thanked the public for assistance and tips relating to Mickelson’s disappearance.
