As a member of the Mission RCMP, you have to be ready for anything.

For Const. Johanna Robinson, that anything was an injured goose.

While on patrol in the Hayward Lake area, Robinson spotted the goose hobbling around and took action.

She caught, then transported the hurt fowl to the Dewdney Animal Hospital for treatment.

The goose, who suffered an injured leg, is expected to make a full recovery.

The local RCMP sent out a tweet regarding the incident, including the humourous note that “Goose wrangling skills are an asset, but not required to be an RCMP Officer.
