In a statement to the Chronicle, Island Health said that they are balancing staffing resources to ensure larger clinics like at the Cowichan Community Gym in Duncan and Beban Park in Nanaimo can operate seven days a week.
“We anticipate more operating hours at the smaller community sites, like Aggie Hall, as we move ahead into phases 3 and 4 of the immunization rollout,” they said.
A clinic at the Cedar Community Hall is also opening on March 31, and Ladysmith residents will have an option to book appointments there in addition to the Nanaimo and Duncan clinics. Island Health said that the Cedar clinic will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Operating dates and times are subject to change.

Island Health did not specify when the Aggie Hall clinic will close, but said that everyone in B.C. who wants a vaccine will be able to receive a first dose before July 1. The closing date is still listed as Oct. 31, 2021 on Island Health’s community immunization clinics list.
“The end date of the Aggie Hall COVID-19 vaccine clinic is variable, dependent on progress made as Island Health moves through the phases of the Province’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan,” Island Health said.
