More than 11,000 homes in Surrey are still without power this morning, according to BC Hydro.
That includes several schools.
Across the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast, BC Hydro is reporting roughly 58,000 customers without power this morning after heavy winds hit the region on Thursday.

There are reports of dozens of downed power lines across the region. Always assume a downed line is live and stay back at least 10 metres, and call 9-1-1 immediately. #BCStorm #DownDangerDial pic.twitter.com/KYf53bG9dh
