More than 4,000 customers were without power this morning in Sardis, according to BC Hydro.
The website states the power went out 10:14 a.m., and crews arrived on scene just before 11 a.m. There is no confirmed cause of the outage at this point, or a location noted where the problem stemmed from.
The affected area is all south of the highway, and stretches across much of the Vedder Road corridor from about Knight Road to Watson/Promontory Roads.
It also covers most of Promontory, but does not include the Chilliwack River Valley.
The estimated time for power to be restored has been set for 11:30 a.m.
