The majority of Tulameen residents, forced from their homes by flood water, were allowed to return to their residences Tuesday evening, however most of their properties remain on evacuation alert.
Fifteen homes, primarily on Otter and Nicola Avenues, are being protected by tiger dams and gabions and remain under evacuation order.
An RDOS press release advises that residents under alert must be prepared to leave with short notice in case the situation worsens.
Sunday 148 properties – representing about half the town – were evacuated and 157 homes put on alert after Otter Lake flowed into the streets.
