Motorcyclist taken to hospital after highway crash in Ladysmith

Traffic slowed in both directions at Trans-Canada Highway and Grouhel Road

A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash and highway traffic is slowed in both directions in Ladysmith this morning.

Emergency crews were called out about 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, to the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Grouhel Road, where a motorcycle and an SUV collided.

Crews on scene said the motorcyclists was being taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Traffic was moving in both directions, but was significantly backed up in the southbound lane.
