A woman has been airlifted from a Fernie trail after crashing her mountain bike.
Just before 5 p.m. Monday, Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was tasked to help the injured mountain biker at the Lazy Lizard trail, near Island Lake Lodge.
SAR reported that the initial team located and stabilized the woman before it was decided she should be airlifted via long line to BC Ambulance Service due to the location.
SAR did not provide details of the biker’s injuries.
