It’s not really that strange that holiday decorations are popping up around Chilliwack at the end of August.
A Christmas-themed “Movie of the Week” is being filmed in the downtown core with scenes shot inside a number of well-known businesses.

Found Road Productions put out a notice Friday about film-making activity for “Christmas Lost and Found” talking about plans for shooting scenes at Chilliwack Secondary school, but also along Mill Street, and Wellington Avenue.
Some traffic and parking changes may be temporarily in effect on Monday, like “intermittent traffic control” that will be in effect for a very brief part of the day on Wellington, east of Young Road.
At least one of the merchants on Wellington is pretty stoked.
“Excuse us as we get our jingle on,” posted the business owner. “Exciting times in Creekside as our store will be used for filming an upcoming Christmas movie.”
The store owners plan to be closed Monday and Tuesday, reopening their doors as soon as crews are packed and out of the store, sometime Wednesday.
There were plans to shoot inside the Book Man Monday, as well as The Royal Hotel, and at Ruth & Naomi’s Mission.
The film crews will be making movie magic in Chilliwack until Aug. 29.
Downtown is a popular film location with the B.C. film industry.
