Ladysmith RCMP is investigating an act of vandalism that damaged nine vehicles over the weekend.

The vandals sprayed multiple vehicles with fire extinguishers, drew pictures of penises, then wrote sexist and disturbing comments on the windows. One of the vehicles had its license plate damaged. Several of the vehicles also had “LSS School” written on them, but there’s no evidence at this time that the comments were written by an LSS student.

Cpl. Dave Fish said that the acts of vandalism occurred primarily in the area of Bayview Road between Dogwood and Stephenson Drive. Fish added that there were no reported thefts.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Ladysmith RCMP non-emergency line at 250-245-2215.
