A driver who hit and killed a teen with his vehicle last year was sentenced in provincial court in Nanaimo on Monday.
Brandon Geoffrey Murdoch faced a charge of driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention. The charge stemmed from an incident at the intersection of Hammond Bay Road and Brigantine and Ventura drives March 6, 2019, when Murdoch’s vehicle struck a 17-year-old Dover Bay student who was crossing Hammond Bay Road in the intersection’s crosswalk.
