Police in Nanaimo hope the public can help identify two people allegedly involved in the theft of a bicycle.
According to police, a bike was stolen from Vancouver Island University’s Nanaimo campus at about 1:50 a.m. on Nov. 29.
Video surveillance footage captured images of a man and a woman believed to be responsible for the theft. The man uses bolt cutters to remove the lock on a yellow Peugeot mountain bike. The man and woman then walk away with the bike, which had a flat tire.
The woman is white, about 30 years old with shoulder length blonde hair. She was wearing tan colour lace-up boots and a cream colour button up sweater and was also carrying a tan colour backpack.
The male suspect is also white, about 25 to 30 years old, with a goatee and moustache. He was carrying a purple umbrella and was possibly wearing a red hat.
