Nanaimo RCMP detachment has resumed civil fingerprinting services and police information checks.

The services, which were cancelled in March due to COVID-19 restrictions, are available effective immediately and by appointment only, according to a Nanaimo RCMP press release issued Monday, Sept. 21.

Anyone who requires either service is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m to 4 p.m.

Police information checks are only being offered to residents of Nanaimo. People who require fingerprint and police information check services are asked not to arrive at the Nanaimo RCMP detachment without having first made an appointment.
