Nanaimo RCMP seek help identifying man alleged to have used stolen credit card

Police say surveillance shows man allegedly using card at Thrifty Foods at Port Place mall

Police in Nanaimo are looking for a man suspected of breaking into a car, stealing a wallet, using a stolen credit card and have turned to the public for help in identifying him.

Nanaimo RCMP allege the suspect broke into an unlocked vehicle, parked in the area of Rutherford Road and Wills Road, July 2 and took a Samsung Galaxy S9 cellphone and a wallet containing identification and an RBC credit card.

The suspect was captured on video later that day, allegedly using the credit card to make a transaction at Thrifty Foods at Port Place Shopping Centre. Two more transactions were made at other businesses the same day.
