Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad will be part of a new provincial government committee looking at ways to expand jobs and growth using B.C.’s “bio-economy.”
According to the government release, “Bio-economy is a term referring to the conversion of bio-mass such as trees and agriculture products into bio-energy, bio-chemicals and bio-materials. It also has applications in the health and chemical sectors.”
The committee will be establishing guidelines which they hope will support growth in this sector.
Cariboo North independent MLA Bob Simpson will also be on the committee.
