Nelson residents joined demonstrators around the world to support equal rights and an end to violence against women.
The Women’s March was first held in 2017 in Washington, D.C., shortly after the election of U.S. President Donald Trump. Saturday’s event in Nelson coincided with marches around B.C. and Canada, as well as across America and Europe.
The event in Nelson began at City Hall and circled a route through downtown before returning for speeches. Scroll down for pictures of the march.
