Castlegar’s new mayor was officially sworn in over Zoom Monday night.
Kirk Duff, who won the head seat by 42 votes in April, was joined by Councillor Brian Bogle and the rest of council for their first meeting.
Duff previously had spent 18 years as a city councillor before throwing his hat into the ring in the city’s by-election, which was sparked after former mayor Bruno Tassone stepped down in January in connection to backlash he faced over a trip to a family cabin in the Okanagan amid the pandemic.
