A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at a Mission retirement home.
Dr. Bonnie Henry announced Saturday, Nov. 7, that an outbreak had taken place at The Residence of Mission, a site adjacent to Mission Memorial Hospital.
Henry made the announcement while announcing new regional restrictions in the Lower Mainland to try to slow the spread of COVID-19.
In a press release, Fraser Health said two residents had tested positive.
“Fraser Health has declared an outbreak at this location, and a rapid response team is at the site,” a press release says. “Communication with residents and families is underway. The two residents are currently in self-isolation at their home in long term care.”
