A poll conducted by Toronto’s Forum Research Inc. says that half of British Columbians would vote for the NDP if the election were held today, and that the New Democrats would win 79 of 85 seats in Victoria’s legislature.
Results of the survey were published in Thursday’s Globe and Mail.
The poll said the BC Liberals – recently buoyed by Premier Christy Clark’s push for economic and environmental windfalls for B.C. in regards to the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline out of Alberta – would receive 23 per cent of the vote and just four of the seats. The remaining two seats would be filled by independents.
