The renovating Integris Community Centre is on schedule for YMCA of Northern B.C. to start programs in their new home on Feb. 1, pending approval from the project’s electrician and architect.

On Jan. 20, workers added external signage and Vanderhoof’s fire chief Ian Leslie completed a fire inspection of the centre.

As the rest of the building’s renovations finish up later this month, Vanderhoof’s local arts council will also move into the new Arts Wing and space rentals will be open to the public by mid- to late February, said Hilary Irvine of District of Vanderhoof.

A grand opening and celebration for the new centre takes place on March 7.
