Comox Valley RCMP responded to a third call in two days of shots being fired Monday night, but it turned out the call did not involve any criminal activity.
Reports indicated a part of Marsden Road was blocked off by police around 10:30 p.m. June 10. According to Const. Monika Terragni of the Comox Valley RCMP, members did attend the Marsden Road/Charter Road area for a call of shots being heard.
“Thankfully, members were able to speak with people in the area and identified a farmer who was working to keep starlings off his property.”

She added that the frontline members who attended initially blocked off the road and used the utmost of caution during their investigation.
The call follows on the heels of two other recent incidents within the city.
Early Sunday morning, police investigated a shooting near two Cumberland Road businesses.
On Monday morning, Comox Valley RCMP responded to a second incident of gunfire in an alleyway near 10th Street and Piercy Avenue.
