Doris Van Buren, 70, pleaded guilty in Vernon Provincial Court Monday to counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited weapon following an incident in November 2010.
Van Buren was given a one-year conditional sentence. Stays of proceeding were entered on four other counts.
RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in the 8000 block of Postill Drive on Nov. 30, 2010.
Nobody was home at the time but police did seize 492 marijuana plants, several pounds of dried bud and a loaded 9-mm handgun.
A woman was arrested as she drove onto the property.
Van Buren was also given a mandatory 10-year firearms prohibition at her sentencing, and was ordered to provide a DNA sample.
