Parcel delivery to the East Sooke General Store will cease on Aug. 24.
A statement from Canada Post dated Aug. 21 said, “Canada Post is dedicated to serving the people of East Sooke. We are in the process of looking for another location that could meet our requirements. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience.”
Canada Post noted that some services are available on their website at canadapost.ca, and parcel pickup services continue at the Sooke Centre Post Office in the Shoppers Drug Mart at 6660 Sooke Rd., the main Sooke Post Office at 6736 West Coast Rd., and Fairway Market in Langford at 2945 Jacklin Rd.
