The Joint Review Panel, which will be touring the path of the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline will be skipping one place along the route – the Fort.
While the list of communities along the route includes Vanderhoof, which is much further from the pipeline’s proposed route across the province, the panel will not be making a stop in Fort St. James.
Enbridge has also decided not to hold a public information session in Fort St. James.
The company is also touring the proposed route, to educate communities along the way as to the potential benefits of the project and defend the company’s track record, but for some reason there will be no stop in the Fort.
Enbridge had not responded to inquiries regarding this decision by press time.
