Nominations are officially open to fill two Union Bay Improvement District trustee positions.
The two successful candidates will be on the UBID board for a 3-year term commencing May 2019 and ending in May 2022.
To be nominated, trustee hopefuls must be a Canadian citizen, 18-years-old or older, a BC resident for at least six months and have owned land in UBID for at least 30 days. They must also be entitled to be registered as a voter under the Election act.
Forms can be dropped off starting March 23 in person at the UBID office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday or left in the after-hours drop box outside the office.
The advance election poll will be held on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Union Bay Community Hall dining room. The election poll will be held on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
